No More Breast Cancer-from November 6, 2008

Here is a huge praise and thanks to God!  The biopsy report on the breast tissue came back negative for cancer.  There was atypia (meaning atypical cells which can be a precursor to cancer at times) on both sides.  To my understanding the breast cancer treatment is now finished.  I know there will be no more mammograms but I am uncertain if anything else is entailed for observation.

I am doing really, really well.  There is minimal soreness and I can get out of bed and in by myself now.  This is a big step forward, believe it or not.  The upper abdominal muscles were apparently somewhat traumatized by the surgery and made big complaints when I would get up and down.  Yesterday, I stayed up almost all day because I did not think I could get back up once I was lying down.  Today that was no problem.

I have a new prayer request.  Now that the path reports are back showing such good results, pray that we have no problem with insurance coverage.  I think it will be fine because I have had a total of 6 lumpectomies and 2 separate cancers as well as 2 atypical hyperplasias.   All the same, please pray for there to be no problems at all.

I see the hematologist on Monday and the surgeon and plastic surgeon on Tuesday.  Then there will more of a handle on the lymphoma and the plan for that.  God is good.  I have no fear and plan to live a normal and healthy life.

Thanks, dear ones for your prayers.
