Casein
The last time I went to Dr. Block’s office and had the routine tests, I happened to watch a cooking demo by one of the nutrtionists. He used a milk substitute in his recipe, and another observer asked why not use fat- free milk.
The nutrtionist said, “If you are going to cheat on your recommended Block diet, we would rather that you had a big juicy steak than any dairy at all. It is not because of the fat, but because of the casein.”
Of course this got my curiosity aroused and I googled “casein and cancer” when I got home.
In a nutshell, a study was done on lab animals with cancer. The cancer growth could be speeded or retarded by adding or removing the casein.
I am putting two opposing responses to the study and the interpretation of the study and you can make your own judgenent. Wheras, dairy was an area or cheating for me previously, that is no longer true.
Here is the link which is pro going no dairy.
